Take your cooking to the next level and showcase your skills in the Teflon™ Diamond Standard Awards. The annual cookery competition, headline sponsored by Anolon UK, offers the chance for non-professional cooks to gain recognition for their passion and cooking ability.
Open to all aged 12 years and above, this exciting cooking challenge has three categories.
Keen Home Cooks (17 years and over)
How to enter: Submit 3 dinner party signatures.
The winner's prize: an exclusive weekend in Dorset for two people with a bespoke day's cookery course at the Lesley Waters Cookery School including overnight accommodation and dinner at the luxurious Eastbury Hotel. Plus cookware worth £150.
Aspiring Student Chefs (16-19 years)
How to enter: Submit a signature classic with a twist.
The winner's prize: a cash prize of £500, £250 worth of cookware for their college plus the option to take up a three year Specialised Chefs Scholarship.
Keen Young Cooks (12-16 years)
How to enter: Submit a favourite baking recipe, either sweet or savoury.
The winner's prize: a cash prize of £200, £100 worth of cookware plus the option to take up a three year Specialised Chefs Scholarship.
Entries close on 31st October 2018 with the national final scheduled for 23rd January 2019 for the Keen Young Cooks & Keen Home Cooks at the Waitrose Cookery School, London. The Aspiring Student Chef national final will be held on 4th February 2019 at Bournemouth & Poole College.
